From a customer via email:

"We are using two of your Hydra 50 gas powered sprayers at our greenhouse location.  One of the sprayers is several years older than the other.  The one that I am having trouble with has trouble with the hose reel when the pump is running and the hose is under pressure, the reel feels like the drag will not release during this time.  I have noticed that the older spayer ( same model) has a different drag system on it than the newer one, but we do not understand how to loosen that drag unit up to allow the reel to freewheel so the operator can walk away with the hose/spay gun.  Can you help, the manual we have shows the older version of drag unit with the lever to activate it.  May need newer manual and some kind advice on how to operation the newer reel

The new reel has the tension adjustment on the hub of the reel.

You will need to unwind the hose so that you can access the center of the reel hub.  In the middle, there is a screw that applies tension to the axle.  Loosen this to reduce the drag.
