Dramm has a chemical use worksheet that can help with the calculations for your Autofog, PulsFOG and Coldfogger.

As always, follow the label first.  If the label has an area rate, go with that.

You may download the worksheet here.

You will find notes on how to use the worksheet below:

Read Me - Chemical Use Template

This worksheet is designed as an aide to calculating the amount of chemical needed for use in the  Dramm Autofog, Dramm Coldfogger and Dramm PulsFOG.

The sheet is fairly self explanatory.  Simply answer the questions in the Basic Information section.

•First select the machine being used in the toggle menu.
•Enter the size of the area to be treated.
•Enter the 100 gallon label rate.

NOTE:  The scale (oz., g., lbs, tsp., Tbsp. ...) for the rate does not matter.  The formula works with any scale.  The toggle menu has been added for your convenience only.

•Next choose the Dramm rate (high=35%, low=20%) that you are using.

NOTE:  When first using a low volume sprayer it is best to begin at the high rate until you are comfortable with the unit and its operation.

The spreadsheet will calculate the amount of chemical needed to treat the given area as well as the amount of water or carrier needed (depending on the machine selected).

If you like, space has been provided at the top of the spreadsheet for you to enter the chemical name.  You may save or print this sheet with the specific instructions for each chemical for future use.

Should you have any questions about the use of this spreadsheet or you Dramm chemical applicator, please contact Dramm using the information provided below.

Hello,

I will be fogging 120000 square feet of greenhouses with the PulsFog. I know I need 16.8 oz of chemical (EC) /18 L of water and 12 L of VK1 carrier. Am I correct in assuming that I will need 30 L total of spray solution?

This sounds correct however we should know what is in the greenhouse (crop) and the product chosen to fog.

It was for Avid EC on various annuals and poinsettias.  I stopped after 1 tank when I could not get the vk1 solution to stay mixed.  It keeps separating to the bottom and was vaporized first, while the water in the tank was still left.  Is this normal?

Your experience is what would be expected from this product mix.  Avid is a light Ec and should be mixed only with water.  The active ingredient in Avid is extremely sensitive to  any type of tank mixes, including carriers.  Vk1 is formulated for heavy EC or Oil based chemistries.  Depending on what part of the world you are located in there are not many of these products available anymore.  Vk1 should only be used for heavy Ec an Oil based chemistries and no water is added.  Vk2 is for light Ecs, wettable powders and water based chemistries.  Nutrifog, the preferred  carrier is also used light EC's. wettable powders and water based products.  Vk2 and Nutrifog both mix well with water.  The complexity of chemistries available today make it extremely important for us to know the products that are going to be applied.  Crop damage could result if we do not know what product is to be applied; and the crop(s) applied to.  Please contact us if you have any further questions.

I was hoping to find out if this Excel template has been updated to include NutriFog as a carrier option. Since we are new to fogging with the BIO pulsFOG and this is the only carrier we were told to use, I'd like to have calculation resources that are up-to-date.

Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply. For some reason, we have not been receiving notifications of postings on the forum.

The Excel spreadsheet was updated to include NutrfFOG.  If you click the link above, it will download the new version.
