Dramm does not recommend using reverse osmosis water as the carrier when using hydrogen peroxide or peroxyacetic acid (PAA) based products in the Coldfogger.

While the Coldfogger can handle these products normally, they are much more aggressive when mixed into RO water.

RO water has been stripped of the normal minerals and substances that are found in water, eliminating the buffering capacity of that water.

Acetic acid is a weak acid and has little effect on pH in normal water. However, in RO water, it will have a great effect, reducing the pH of the water dramatically.

If using RO water, it is important to measure the pH and and adjust it with a base to a minimum of 5.5. In most cases, it may be better to use untreated water for spray purposes.
