Can Insecticidal soap be apply effectively with an autofog?  Has anyone tried this?  Would the particles be too small to kill target pests?

Thanks for your question. Insecticidal soaps and oils do not generally work well as they are intended. Because these products are effective when they smother and suffocate the insect, they are not very effective as there is so little volume with the Autofog or PulsFOG.

These products can be helpful when mixed with other contact insecticides as they tend to agitate the pest while effecting the chitin, potentially increasing the efficacy.

Besides the coverage and not been effective because of the volume that soaps need, Will the Autofog get damaged by using Trounce or any other soap?

Thanks and best regards.

I am sorry for the late reply on this. There was no notification of your question.

Soaps and oils should not damage the nozzle. However, thorough cleaning may be required. As long as a product is not corrosive, it should not damage the nozzle.

In various trials, soaps and oils have been shown to be an effective synergist when mixed with other pesticides in the Autofog.
